- IGM Therapeutic Acupressure is constantly evolving. From our humble beginnings in a volunteer firehouse, to the American Legion Hall, to our new modern facilities at William Paterson University, our goal is and always has been to bring you the very best in acupressure training and certification.
- We offer continuing education units through the New Jersey State Nursing Association. 23.7 contact hours are awarded after attendance of each seminar. Nurses from around the nation can benefit from learning a holistic modality as well as gaining valuable continuing education units. (CEU Info)
- In October, 2006, Isabell, Maria, and Diana Gatto were invited to San Diego California where IGM sessions were given to the speakers and staff of the Integrative Holistic Medical Conference. IGM was well recieved by all. At the annual week long conference, doctors from around the nation attend all day lectures by the top holistic doctors in the nation on a variety of topics focusing on how holistic practices can be integrated into their existing Western Medicine practice. "East meets West" as Isabell would say! The conference ends with the board certification exam where a doctor can become a board certified holistic physician. It is an exciting concept to imagine more and more practices throughout the nation including acupressure, accupuncture, nutritional healing, color and music therapy, reflexology and more as part of a prescribed treatment for their patients.
- In October, 2003, Isabell, Jim, Maria and Diana Gatto traveled to Bethesda Maryland. IGM Therapeutic Acupressure was recognized by the National Institute of Health as a type of acupressure for future study. Maria Gatto lectured at Grand Round Presentation to the staff of the NIH. Afterward, Isabell demonstrated IGM Therapeutic Acupressure advanced moves and theories, followed by performing IGM sessions on several staff members.
